If you have already seen the biography page (if not click top left), here are a few LINKS
You will find all links regarding Aviation Pioneers (Wright Brothers, Curtiss, Bleriot, Voisin, Farman, Santos-Dumont... etc...) on Aviation Pioneers Links (links to web sites regarding pioneer aviators who flew before WWI). I shall mention here, however, all links on Mario Calderara, as well as other interesting links not directly focused on such subject or, in general "institutional links"... In particular, with reference to
MARIO CALDERARA,
Aviazione Navale is a web site focused on the history of Italian Naval aviation (in Italian only) which tells quite a bit about Mario (including photos); a picture of the Goupy-Calderara biplane ("Goupy II") is visible on a page of the Aviation buffs website as well as on a page of the Wright State University Library; a picture of the Calderara seaplane is visible on a page of Aerei Italiani website.
Some web sites have set up pages on Mario Calderara (based, mostly, on the information contained on this site): the American Institute for Aeronautics and Aerospace has added it among the Pioneer Profiles in its History of flight Section. Ralph Cooper's Early Birds of Aviation also has a page on Mario Calderara. As for
INSTITUTIONAL LINKS,
the main Italian Air Museums are Museo G.Caproni (in Trento, the largest private Air museum in Italy), Museo Storico dell'Aeronautica (Italian Airforce museum, in Italian only - Aeronautica Militare Italiana, Vigna di Valle, Roma), Museo della Scienza e della Tecnica (in Turin, which has a section on airplanes - also in English) and the Museo dall'Aria San Pelagio a small but well organised private museum.
Of course a worldwide point of reference is the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum in Washigton DC, USA
I shall also mention Aeroclub d'Italia's website (a Member of F.A.I.) and, again, the American Institute for Aeronautics and Aerospace, mentioned above, which has, on another of its sites (Wright Flyer Project), a great collection of Wright Brothers links.
